Welcome
I am a cognitive psychologist in the Department of Psychology at Tennessee State University. I received my Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2008 and joined the faculty of the Department of Psychology at TSU that same year.
Cognitive psychology is the scientific study of cognition--the mental processes involved in perception, memory, attention, etc. My primary research interest is visual perception.
I am also interested in Human Factors, an interdisciplinary field of psychologists, engineers, and computer scientists working together to improve the design of things that people use.
I am a member of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology.
