  The Golden Age, Elizabeth i, and the Virgin Queen are some of the most recent films produced on Queen Elizabeth I.  The Golden Age deputed in October of 2007. In the film Elizabeth I is played by Cate Blanchett, the film focuses on the relationship between Elizabeth I and Sir Walter Ralegh. Elizabeth I is part of a two part HBO film, directed by Tom Hooper aired in 2005 starring Helen Mirren as Elizabeth I. The film portrays the relationship the queen had with the Earl of Essex in her later years. Tom Hooper also directed the film The Virgin Queen starring Anne-Marie Duff. The film covers the entire life of Queen Elizabeth I and debuted in 2005.
